NEXT LEVEL BASKETBALL CAMP DISCOUNT AND SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
The Next Level Basketball Camp, as owned and directed by an NCAA basketball coach, is not permitted to offer discounts of any kind for its summer camps. Discounts would be deemed an “extra benefit” by the NCAA and could compromise a player’s eligibility and recruitment. Similarly, scholarships are not supplied by the camp.
In order to keep the camp as affordable as possible, while maintaining the high quality campers and parents have come to expect, we have absorbed some of the increasing camp expenses, tightened up other areas and have done our best to hold the line. We are proud to report that our price ($450 per camper) remains the same as when we arrived at Colby in 2006 and is significantly cheaper than other camps at Colby and in the area.
At the same time, we understand that the cost of camp is significant and while a worthwhile investment in your daughter’s progression, it can be challenging. We have tried to help by supplying a payment program that does not require in-full payment at the time of registration and spaces out the payments over the course of the spring. In addition, there are several viable ways to reduce the burden of camp, most notably the United Way, which works in conjunction with the Libra Foundation to supply summer camp scholarships to thousands of children each year in Portland, Lewiston and Bangor. In addition, local community organizations such as the Rotary Club, Elks and Kiwanis often have scholarship programs for summer camp enrichment opportunities. Some school systems also have funding for summer programs. For youth teams and groups of children interested in attending, efforts such as pancake breakfasts and pasta dinners have served to support summer camp efforts. We encourage anyone interested to contact your school system, town hall or chamber of commerce.
We are happy to work with you, supply feedback and support and answer any questions you may have. We know times are challenging for many and will do what we can to make our camp a reality for your daughter. We understand very well our responsibility to each and every camper who attends our camp and the hard work and sacrifice parents and guardians often make to have a camp stay become reality! |
